TV Star Battles Chrones Disease with Aloe Vera

National, Tuesday 28, July 2009 The Daily Express ‘your health’ section has examined the symptoms, implications and treatment of chrones disease. The article describes the experiences of long term sufferer and Emmerdale actor Jeff Hordley who plays Cain Dingle. Chrones disease is It affects around 60,000 people in the UK and 15 to 40 year olds are the most commonly affected. Jeff was diagnosed with the disease a month before his 26th birthday after being referred by his GP to Manchester Royal Infirmary. His symptoms were diarrhoea, stomach pain, severe tiredness and weight loss. Some sufferers may also experience swollen joints, mouth ulcers, inflamed eyes and rashes on their body. After researching the disease further, Jeff discovered that there were ways of complementing his conventional treatments by probiotics, fish oil and aloe vera juice to ease the suffering.
