Forever Living has taught me that Direct Sales can be a wonderful thing. Besides improving my health with their exceptional products, FLP also provides with an extra income that has proven to be VERY useful in this current economic crisis. I never imagined I would find a company that can provide a solid home-based business with virtually no investment. Hence, Forever Living has also taught me to NEVER say NEVER! |
The Eighties...one of the greediest decades this country has ever seen. It was also the first time I had heard of Multi Level Marketing.
It sounded so appealing. A friend of mine convinced me to go to a meeting with him. The company was some sort of water filter distributorship. Each speaker that came on was so charismatic and engaging, sharing their inspirational story and motivating a crowd of about 500.
Well, long story short, I was sold. I purchased a starter kit, some water filters, and some "motivational" materials. Before I realized what a scam it truly was, I was $1500 poorer. I spent more money on products and marketing materials than I could have ever earned through recruiting or retailing these water filters. I promised myself I would never be duped again.
Fast forward to 2008. I had begun to find some success in running a few websites as an affiliate marketer of online stores such as Overstock.com and Amazon. It paid for the car each month, I’ll say that.
One day, I was at my mother’s house for a visit. I had been feeling some stiffness in my left knee as of late and had mentioned it to her. She went to the kitchen for a moment and returned with a glass full of some thick, semi-transparent amber green liquid. Trusting my Mom, I drank it. It was actually quite tasty with a pleasantly sharp zing and a peachy flavor. I particularly enjoyed the little bits of pulp in it.
"What is it?", I asked.
"Aloe Vera Gel", she replied.
This was the first I had heard of Aloe Vera Gel as a drink. I knew there was Aloe Vera juice being sold instores, but I had never seen pure, unadulterated gel directly from the plant before.
She gave me 3 bottles to take home with me. It was an Aloe Vera gel drink from Forever Living called Bits ’N’ Peaches.
Long story short...After about 3 weeks of drinking this stuff, my knee felt much better, and the stiffness was nearly non-existent. After some research, I learned that Aloe Vera was in fact an excellent remedy for stiff joints.
I asked my Mom where she gets this stuff. She gave me a brochure with all sorts of products from Forever Living. To my surprise it was a network marketing company. An MLM. The same type of company I had cursed and condemned since the 1980’s.
How could this be an MLM, I wondered. Their products are incredible. Their prices are fair and decent. My curiosity was aroused to say the least.
My Mom then introduced me to the FLP distributor who sells here the products. Well, I absolutely blown away by the way this company operates.
There was no start-up cost. I couldn’t believe it!
No starter kits and no inventory to buy upon signup. No one at the company shoving CD’s, books, and marketing supplies down your throat. This sounded TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!
The distributor told me, "You’re half right...It is good AND it is true!".
I signed up online, and sure enough...without paying a cent, I was an official distributor with access to FLP’s wholesale prices.
Over the past few months, Forever Living has changed the way I feel, the way i think, and the way I live.
